Which Okuma SLV Reel

I'm wondering what you would recommend, a 2/3 or a 4/5 size reel. If it matters I'm planning on putting it on a 28" TB Power Noodle rod.

I like the 4/5 myself. It all depends on how you hold your rod.

It's all new to me. I plan on putting the reel in the middle of a spinning handle. I often find myself palming the reel sort of like a gun with the stem in between my thumb and forefinger. That would be with a spinning reel. It seems to me that a fly reel would be similar and if anything more comfortable to hold. I appreciate any hands on experience anyone is willing to share.

Also, I've got that reel on a 26" powernoodle. IMO it works out great for finicky fish in shallow water.

I have the 4/5 on a 24" power noodle and love it, hands down the best combo I have for panfish. I think most guys go with the 4/5 size, but I think you would be happy with either one. The 4/5 may wind up more line per turn depending how much backer you put on though.

I prefer the larger ones for rods longer than 24" I have a couple Magnitude L/A 5/6's that I have on a Quiverstick 28 and an Outside Powernoodle 32. I have a Magnitude S/A 5/6 on my Powernoodle 24. On my Sweet Pea 16, I have an older Sierra 2/3 that works great. With the shorter rod, the smaller diameter is what I prefer, as with sight fishing everything has to be precise. And you generally aren't sight fishing in over 20 feet of water, so the smaller diameter doesn't hurt as bad.
