need advice for a new setup

I need advice, on what kind of setup I should add, for this upcoming bass season. I only fish bass from shore, so I have to fit a lot of different Lure Presentations into just a few setups because it gets hard walking from spot to spot with ten different setups. I would like to keep my arsenal to a total of 3-4 setups.

As of now, I only use two setups. My first setup is a 7.0:1 Curado matched with a 7'H Mojo Bass rod. I match this setup with #65 braid and use it for topwater frogs, and heavy cover jigs, in the thick stuff. My second setup is a 6.4:1 Skeet Reese Revo matched with a 6'6"MH Shimano Convergence rod. I match this setup with fluorocarbon and use it for Spinnerbaits, Texas Rigged worms, and shallow water crankbaits.

I was thinking of maybe adding a topwater plug/walk the dog bait setup, with mono. Or, a swim jig setup, with fluorocarbon. Since I only fish from shore, I deal with almost 100% shallow water. What would you guys do as for setups?

Any advice would be great, thanks!!

I think braid would be better for topwater fishing as it floats. If it were me, I would get a rod for finesse jigging and weightless or small plastic rigs. I don't think a dedicated topwater rod would serve you as well as something lighter in action.

Maybe I could through mono on my Skeet Revo and use topwaters on that, with spinnerbaits, Texas rigged worms, and shallow cranks. Then I could get a setup for finesse jigs. I would like to use more finesse lures, since I dont use them at all.

I like the up side down rod idea too =D I through texas rigged senkos on my SkeetRevo/Convergence. That new Revo spinning reel does look pretty nice!!

You could probably get by throwing topwaters on your 6'6" Convergence, so I would suggest a spinning outfit as well. Something like the St. Croix 6'8" MXF would be perfect. You could fish shakey heads, tubes, weightless plastics, and wacky rigged worms on that outfit.
