Steelhead in Wisconsin

Well I was informed today that I have to make a trip to the Milwaukee area to visit some of my wifes relatives sometime in mid to late April. I've heard and seen alot about the good Steelhead/Brown/Salmon fishing down that way. Does anyone have any info on a couple good places to try...not looking for specifics as far as catching just looking for some places to try. I have the equipment to fly fish or fish from shore. Any help would be great. Is this a decent time of year to fish down that way.

I think you're a little late for the steelhead run, I remember it being closer to mid-March, but I think its dependent on how the thaw comes and what water you're hunting.

If you're in Milwaukee proper, look for spots on the Milwaukee or Menomonee. But if you want good advice on the runs or where to find some after-party fish, I'd try calling one of the fly shops around Milwaukee closer to your visit.
