2003 Park Ave

Recommended Posts

I have a family member who has a 2003 Buick Park Avenue that they may be selling. Has 130,000 highway miles. I am looking for a car so I can park my suburban unless I need it. I always liked buicks but am not very good at working on cars. Should I be scared of that many miles on this car? I want a big, roomy car that gets decent mileage for driving to work and hauling around the kids. Dont want something that needs to be worked on alot though. From what I hear, these have a pretty reliable motor. Is this true? Any advice is welcome. Thanks

That amout of miles is not really a concern if the previous owner did proper maintainance. I'd assume its a 3800, which is a pretty sound motor aside from the intake manifold. If thats been done already it should be good to go a long ways. If not, expect to do it but its not a huge deal, just dont let it go once you see symptoms. (unexplained coolant loss)
