Does anyone here have any experience ice fishing Lake Superior near Thunder Bay? Specifically Little Trout Bay, Trout Bay, and Nipigon areas?

Is the road access to Little Trout Bay plowed? Does Trout Bay freeze over? Is the ice accessible near Nipigon? Are there resorts/lodges that are open in winter near these areas? Not looking for hot spots or secrets...just want to do some exploring.

well I guess it's time to report that at the huts 2 days ago there were 26 fish caught.23 herring, 2 Lakers and 1 Steelhead. It really warmed up here yesterday +6 degrees celcious and they are calling for rain today. It is very sloppy out on the big lake. Friday is going to be cold again. Giddy up!!!!
