I am going to be replacing my Minn Kota Power Drive, it came with the boat, is only 40 #'s of thrust and the foot control does not work consistently. I have heard that this is a common problem with the Power Drives. Anyone run the Edge, if you do how do you like it?

I got an edge 40 on my 16ft alum bass boat and it is an excellent trolling motor. Lots of power and I love the responsive and quick steering, before this motor I had only used power drives mainly.

They are nice for holding your position and moving about through cover as well but the cable steering can take a little time to get used to. Overall though it is a great trolling motor and of high quality like all minnekota motors hard to go terribly wrong.
