Report on new ice lures so far

When the fish don't bite is usually when I try my new stuff. So if then the fish bite it, then I know it will work as something even in tough conditions. Today happen to be just such a day. I tried the Northland Fish Fry Minnow Trap. I wasn't getting the vibe on the lure so I start to jig faster and sweep it high. I basically needed a hook setting motion to get the vibe going. The Perch profile one has a littel thicker body and that one vibe at a slower speed of hook set. Anyway the fish wouldn't took them either. However I've made a modification to one of the traps with an added spinning blade. This got the fish to chase the lure and bite it. However when I went to hook set, I came up with nothing. Turns out the lure was all tangled from the bite. Must have been a head bite and there's no hooks on the lure's head.

slippery, it also could have been because of the action! I was messing with a swedish pimple trying to get fish to come in, and I was doing the hook sets and then letting it fall. I ended up hooking the line a couple of times! Maybe that was why?

Tried lindy darter, green and red, as i had a nice pike cruising the sunken island i was on all day. Saw him on the camera, but he did not bite. A couple times he half heartedly opened his mouth. Needless to saw, fishing was slow all day. Schools of pannies would come in, only to be followed by the pike. I could tell was the same guy, with a scar on his right side. He was a fattyyp!
