bgfish00
Any Recommendations to Avoiding Frozen throttle. After Driving in that Rain and Water and then Freezing up last week, I learned a few lessons.Cover you your Handlebars and control at a minimum. Any other recommendations for keeping things from icing up down below?
Dave S
if it does get wet then freezes, try to get it someplace to thaw it out long enough for it to dry. My garage isn't insulated but when the garden tractor has the occassional freezing issue, I rig a tarp over it with a 80,000 BTU convection heater (careful not to get any plastic too close) and let it warm up for a while.Prevention is your best bet. I'd atleast cover it when not in use. Tarps aren't that expensive.
Brain_Melt
a friend of mine had the same issues. he used a heat gun to thaw it out into motion again and then sprayed some windshield de-icer on it and it's been keeping it from freezing up any more. magnum mike
We ran into some slush fishing over the holidays. The underside of my Ranger was caked with slush & ice on the first day. I was worried about frozen brakes, steering and whatever else. We set my Clam Command Post over the rig, fired up 2 Big Buddy heaters and 3 cocktails later she was warm & dry. I even Windexed the windsheild for the next day. Cocktail engineering has yeilded some good results over the years.
