Nu-Way Stove (Heater)

My dad picked up at aution a "Nu-Way Stove" Wolverine MI. It 14" high and 7"s square, with 3 1/2 by 5" door. It has what I would guess to be a 2qt rectangular fuel can strapped to it. The inside bottom is a shallow basin with a fuel line opening about the diameter of a golf tee. Below the external can is an on off valve for the fuel. What do I have here? Is it fuel oil white gas or what? Also is there a missing factor for the opening in the internal basin? Such as a wick? The vent pipe is 3" in diameter.

I've used those, they get scary hot. The fuel tank(tin can) is mounted to the burner/pot which turns cherry red. Bad idea there, as the fuel oil gets hot too. If you use it don't put it by the door or in anything you don't mind getting burned down.

Use a CO Detector for sure and keep a vent open to supply combustion air.

Surface Tension, Thanks for the heads up. It looks like that is exactly what would happen. It will not go in the house.
