Hey guys. I'm from LaCrosse area and have been going on a annual trip up to red lake minn. for a bunch of years now. Was just wondering if namakagon would be worth a winter trip for crappies, walleyes, and pike. Would like the shorter drive and would like to keep our money in wisconsin fishing!! We would be bringing a sleeper shack so was wondering if access is good and are roads plowed. Any info would be great. thanks in advance and good luck fishing

Sorry but I've never fished it before and I'm not sure if you'll get any responses in here. Try asking in the Apostle Islands, Chequamegon Bay forum and hopefully Jim Hudson will see it. I'm pretty sure he's fished it or could give you some other options for that area. Have you considered the Chequamegon Bay? Might be a good spot later in the season.
