Flasher interference

Ok, I know this is a dumb question, but can someone describe for me what interference between two Vexilars looks like? The reason I ask is that my son and I were out in our portable the other day, he with a FL-18; me with a Fl-20. Every few seconds, my display would show huge red lines (much bigger than any fish) slowly rising from the bottom to the surface. His display would show the opposite -- the same-sized lines sinking slowly from the surface to the bottom. Was that interference?

Cross Talk interference looks like Counter Clockwise Rotational marks on the dial.

Set to "Full View Mode", it most often would appear to be odd marks on the rise.

Set to "Slip Zoom Mode" it may appear as a duel rotation, on both left and the right side of the display screen.

Whomever is experiencing the Cross Talk Interference, that person ONLY, needs to tap the IR button tell it disappears.

(On rare occasions very low power on the unit may also lead to odd readings, that also may produce the appearance of interference. So be sure to full charge unit between uses.)

There are useful tips and videos on the Vexilar site on what may appear like, and how to eliminate it.
