Personally, I've been wheeling with temps down to -15 with -30 wind chill and can't say I ever wished for something different. I use a Can-Am GS2 equipped with an electric shield for winter riding. Switched to an electric shield this year due to a bad experience w/o it last year, suttle moisture build up on the shield between "stops" caused a major ice problem that I could not overcome 30miles from home. So that won't happen again. Beside that we put over 500 miles on in these temps and never had an issue that would make me want to have one. Can't imagine the price, but I doubt I'd even think about one. my 2cents.
