Digger Auger Carrier

Anybody have experience with the digger auger carrier? Does it seem sturdy and hold the auger solidly in place? Thanks for any info.

Its a great concept and will hold the auger solidly. My only concern is the auger head not being supported. Some say it wont be a issue but Im not so sure.

Do you think the power head is heavy enough to bend the shaft? Would it help to move the power head toward one of the braces?

I've been toting around my Nils with 2 of these mounted on the backrest bars of the sled:

No problems whatsoever. The digger version looks like it would work good.

It's rock solid and sturdy. The single clamp locks the unit firmly and securely into position and is well balanced to elevate stress on the head unit.

The second auger support eliminates any bounce on the auger. The load/stress is spread out and dispersed over the entire length of the ice auger Digger Universal Ice Auger Carrier.

StrikeMaster is very pleased with this system, that is why they added it as an offering in there new 2011 StrikeMaster Ice Accessories Line..same auger support and transport system, Digger Anchor Co. manufactures them both.

Great product. Easy to assemble and looks great on my snowmobile. Plenty of support for the auger head. Known Donny for several years and he manufacturers a number of quality products. Ed C pretty much summed it up best. Highly recommended.

I have a 95 polaris, can you mount the auger carrier if you already have the Digger hitch mounted? Or do they get in the way of each other?

Don't know for sure but I did see the hitch and the auger carrier together somewhere in the literature.

I love mine but I might dip contact points in rubber tool handle dip. Not a issue yet but I can see it chipping the paint on the auger flighting.

The Digger Rear Hitch Kit is a separate accessory item, sold separately. It is easily added onto the Digger Universal Ice Auger Carrier to compliment the package. This option adds a lot of convenience without any new holes required in the bumper bar of the snowmobile.

The Digger Universal Hitch Kit was initially designed for use on ice shacks and extra sleds so one could tow multiple units in a train. It was built extra tough so it easily can handle far heavier loads than originally specified.

It was quickly adopted for snowmobile use as a primary tow hitch receiver. Because it is folds and flex's vertically on the mount. It is very non intrusive on a trailer or when not required. It just fold down out of the way.
