Sarah Saturday, an HSO/ Ice Leaders ice fishing get together!!!!

When: Saturday Jan 8. 7:00 am until we’re done.

Where: Lake Sarah, West side county park.

What: “Sarah Saturday” an HSO/Ice Leaders ice fishing get together.

Why: Our sanity is often questioned, so why not??

My mom once asked me why I do the things I do. I told her it looks like growing up sucks so we might as well have fun on the way!!!!

We’ll all meet at the county park on the west side. Meet and greet, grips and grins, make fun of a few guys, tell some lies, talk a little smack, figure out what we’re doing, and hit the lake! This is Sarah Saturday, there are no rules, if you can’t make it right away in the morning, feel free to come and go as your day allows. We’ll catch some perch, catch some walleyes, catch some crappies, and take pictures of me falling down.

Depending on ice conditions, which should be wonderful by early January, I’ll have base camp set up at my perm house with the wife cooking her world famous venison chili. We’ll take a lunch break when we feel like it, totally chow some awesome chili, and get back at it until we can’t stand it anymore.

All are welcome and this is a family event so bring the wife, bring the kids, bring grandpa, bring uncle George. No entry fees, this isn’t a tournament. Although, a few side bets may come into play.

I’ll have a grill out there and I have a cook stove in the perm house. Feel free to bring a little something and take part in the great Minnesota tradition that is pot-luck.

The lakes are freezing, ice is nice. Get out of the house and let’s go “Have more fun!”
