Smelt - Duluth and North Shore

Does anyone dipnet smelt anymore? We used to always go up around the 15th of April. However, that was years ago. Sure would be fun to do it again. Maybe that is a thing of the past. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

i haven't been able to go up smelting last two years but everytime ive gone i've got some. it's really slowing down. hoping to get up there this year.

Keep checking the Duluth board for smelting. And dip netting is quite a bit more scarce that it used to be. Most use sein nets on Park Point beach.
