has anybody done a public land hunt in sodak and if so what is it like? I would like to give it a try but cant see myself paying someone to guide me to a spot or pay for hunting land. thanks for any info.

the good towns on public land that are easily accessible get shot up pretty quick. there are still plenty of land owners that will let a guy on for free or maybe a case of beer. don't over look some of the dog towns on the east side of the MO as well. they are smaller, but often passed up.
