Tungsten Sleeves

I'm just thinking out loud here. I found some small tungsten sleeves that go on hooks at the Orvis Fly Fishing site. They are supposed to sink faster than lead, which would mean they are heavier. They crimp on a small hook and are cylindrical. I may have to get some of these to try, they are expensive though. Any body else have a similar idea?

They are for flyfishing, making weighted nymphs and such.

Thanks for the reply Kwkfsh! I do realize what they are for I was just thinking of using some on small hooks to make some micro ice jigs, a splash of paint and their done.

Try some weighted flyfishing nymphs. They look more natural than any icejig and they work great for perch and panfish!

Since your in CA. they work great for trout also.
