Transporting Deer across state line

I've missed hunts the last few years due to lack of access. I have a cousin in Iowa who fills out the first weekend every year. They have bonus tags. Here is my question:

Can I meet him at the state line, and take possession of legally harvested deer? Take it home and process it myself?

I see in the Iowa reg book it says you cannot sell fowl or fish, but it looks like you could sell game if you wanted. Any insight would help.

That's a long drive from anoka county just for some venison. If it's worth it to you then check out page 73 of the reg book. I'd gift you one from where I hunt in WI but can't with the discoveries of CWD over there.

have a written letter saying that it is a gift have his name number and exactly what was given to you and you should be in the clear. Better note just call the DNR information line and ask them to know for sure.
