big sand lake

has anyone ever fished on big sand lake in sturgeon lake MN?

Welcome to the site!
I don't know if there is a lake called Big Sand, I think its just Sand Lake. It comes right up to I-35 on the east side, south of the town of Moose Lake. I have fished this lake a few times, but it gets alot of pleasure traffic. I know people target Pike, Crappie, and Walleye.

You might want to try posting your question in the BWCA-Duluth-Range forum or the McGregor/Aitkin forum. I am guessing you will get some posts in the BWCA-Duluth forum.

You can also go to the Minnesota DNR web site and do a search in the lake finder for Sand Lake in Pine County. This will give you stocking reports and a map of the lake.
