"tethering" with t-mobile

ok. I did everything and here's where I get stuck. Got everything loaded on the phone, but when I go to transfer it to the computer, all the computer finds is the movie avatar that came loaded on the memory card. Do I need a different cable? I'm using the one that came with the phone. The phone tells me that the software was loaded on the memory card, but I can't find it. I do have windows xp 32 bit on the computer I'm trying to tether if that matters.

I had to install the drivers for my phone, which in my case is an HTC, on my PC to get the pdanet software to work. You should be able to find similar software/drivers on your phone manufacturer's HSOforum.

I don't have internet on the computer, that's why I need to tether my phone to it

Edit_ believe I got it installed on the computer, but how do I start ' using' it? Ix can't get it to work. I don't have the icon you talked about on either the phone or the computer

Well, I followed the instructions, and no luck yet. the problem is on the computer side, I've installed everything but the I con doesn't appear on the computer end so it won't work. Any more ideas?

you browsed through your usb cable onto your SD card to locate the program?

Yes! It actually was loaded to the phone so I moved it to the card.
