Getting ready

Recommended Posts

We have been busy in the garage getting ready for ice fishing. We have been through all the power equipment, batteries and restocking the parts room. We have also spent some time building a few new tools, we just got done making a new tool that will help us get our houses out earlier this year as long as mother nature keeps up with her end of the deal. We hooked up our wheel house to it and pulled it with a four wheeler around the field with ease. I had Bill jump on and we hit the road and no problems getting up to 40 mph, as in the field it pulled real smooth. Bill calls it the Wagon, it does’t resemble one to me but he always wanted one as a kid.

After building the Wagon we started building the Nomad, now I have always wanted one of these a Nomad by definition is one who wanders from place to place. Thats why I started building wheel houses but even they have their limitations and yes you can by a pop up portable and be free from roads and hook them up to your wheeler or sled but I still want the comforts that my hard sided house gives me, especially on them really cold windy days. So we are building three of these units to put to the test this year.

We have also decided to rent Ice augers, Honda 2000 Generators, Portables & Vexilars.
