Swing away or detachable trailer tongue?

I know that someone out there has had to encountered the same problem that I am having.The length of my boat&trailer and the depth of my garage is going to create a borderline fit.Are there any conversion kits out there? Is detachable tongue or swing away the way to go?Give me your thoughts

I remember someone posting here that Cabelas had a kit for this. That's one trailer upgrade I wish I'd bought!

I got a swing away kit from Cabela's for about $120. Reduces the length by about 18".

Bird Dog,

I had mine shortened 10" by a guy who could cut it with a torch and re-hook the brake lines on my 3100# Shorelander.

If you don't have surge brakes you can probably use the kit.
