Tagged fish

Caught a tagged walleye on Mille Lacs last weekend. Was just wondering what the procedure is to report that.

I think you need to right down the number on the tag. And send that and where you caught the fish, and possibly it's size to the DNR.

Go to the DNR HSOforum www.dnr.state.mn.us and put fishtags in the search box and you will get all the info

I caught 2 of them over the course of 3 days. Must be a lot of tagged fish. The local bait stores have a card you can fill out and send in if you like.

Caught a tagged channel cat on the red years ago, a yaer after I reported it the DNR sent me a report on how far the cat ha traveled, It was tagged in Winnipeg and caught near Drayton, ND. By The way Great channel cat fishing up there on the red.
