Electrical/wiring issue

Launch the boat on Thursday night and hit the TnT switch on the throttle, goes for a sec then dead. Ignition dead, but the TnT switch on the motor and all other electronics work, bilge, lights, etc. Check all fuses and no issues. Motor is a 115 Yamaha.

So, I try the "giggle the wires trick".....and it works. Moving the main cluster of wires that come across the splashwell and makes an "S" to go into the motor up a 1/2 inch gave me connection. Took off the cover and the plate over the wires, no connections in there, no wear, no signs of anything wrong. Turn the wheel all the way to the left, thus pushing the "S" in the wires up just a tad, and I have connection. Turn back to center and I lose connection. Best I can tell it's not a ground, as nothing else is moving when I do this little 1/2 inch of upward pressure on the wires.

Is this just a broken wire running from the throttle and ignition into the motor? I can't come up with anything else..... It's not the battery connections or else I wouldn't have the TnT on the motor working.

Good news is I was able to putt around for the weekend, bad news is with EFI I couldn't do more than idle.

Any thoughts? I have an appt for this week but I'm curious if there's something I'm missing.

Thanks, Chris
