Hey. This thing is rather on the cheap side. I found a parts dealer who'll have the screws in a couple weeks, but I know from all my repair experience w/computers it's best to keep on looking till you find that part.
I need the 2 "thumb" screws for the handle side. I call them thumb screws. I don't know maybe officially they are called brakes but on the drum style baitcasters I don't think there are brakes. Anyway it's the 2 screws that aren't "normal" hardware store screws.
Zebco (going by the alias Rhino here lol if I knew Rhino was Zebco I wouldn't have bought it)discontinued this reel already. Looks like the 3 they sell replacement parts for aren't even this style baitcaster (and I did call too and the lady checked really carefully along with their parts HSOforum). And keep in mind, it's a super big piece of junk, so if you have similar thumb screws for any baitcaster like this, it'll maybe work fine.
Parts guys call me, and admins sorry I hope there isn't a rule against leaving my phone # here: 612-306-6281 or e-mail: [email protected]
Thanks in advance for saving me from having a broken $60 combo because I am not ready for some Shimano or Abu Garcia super model yet. I can't even keep my reel together for God's sake!

edit: by the way I'm going to TRY to take it back to Fleet Farm first but still give me a call or e-mail. Either way it goes to my cell phone. Thanks.

Dang, new content and now answers.
First, congrats on the new boat!
My recommendation is to get the most thrust you can in 24V, assuming a boat that size isn’t running 36V. 80 might be tops? I’m partial to MinnKota.
How do you plan to use the trolling motor is an important question too.
All weather or just nice weather?
Casting a lot or bait dragging?
Bobber or panfish fishing?
Spot lock? Networked with depth finders? What brand of depth finders?
We have bought a new boat, which we will be picking up this spring. It is an Alumacraft Competitor 165 sport with a 90 horse Yamaha
motor. I will be buying and installing a trolling motor, wondering if I can get some recommendations on what pound thrust I will
want for this boat? Also, I will be selling my old boat, is there a good way to determine the value on an older boat ( mid-80's with a 75 horse 2-stroke
Mariner motor) I will appreciate any help with these questions.
I went ahead and watched some of the MLF coverage. Wheeler didn’t make the cut but the bigger story was the Poche/Avera fallout.
Kinda funny listening to both sides of the story and putting together the scenario, reading between the lines.
