Derek, very true.

Al & Ron are careful to allow folks to just believe.

That is the impotent thing, the ability to believe in a higher power.

If they were strong Evangelists, well.....that would personally turn me off, and I think a lot of others too.

Viewing your love of God by the size of the check you send in, has always stained my opinion of organized religions.

kind of off topic... but somebody from Anglers Edge was out on Mille Lacs yesterday. Didn't see who it was, just their rig at the boat ramp.

The one thing I get a kick out of, is when outdoorsmen say they don't go to church. Everytime you hit the water and woods you are celebrating God in the church he created. There isn't a better place to celebrate. Tight lines.

My mind belongs to my work, my heart belongs to my family, my soul belongs to the woods...

years ago I was on the road selling heavy duty campfire grills for public and private campgrounds(my own company)....I happened to be in walker mn. and decided to stop at "camp fish" (base camp of the "In Fisherman people )way back in 80'-81....I was told if you meet Al or Ron Lindner....be advised..just don't speak any fowl language or your chances of selling anything to them would be zero......I ended up selling them a handfull of grills for there main camp area.....some counselor purchased them without me ever meeting either of the 2....think it was Dan Siems...I did end up talking to Doug Stange that day also...there good people......they've done alot for the fishing world in general...they started a forward trend to literally change how a fisherman approach's the water...everyone or anyone has had to follow in there footsteps ...they are a hard act to follow...don't really care what they preach....but they have a way with an audience for sure...they know there stuff...simple as that...i remember the ole tv days back when......had to watch Harold Ensley...In Fisherman...Virgil Ward...ahhh memories......lol.....thanks....jon

Met Al at the Sportshow a few years back. He was really interested in talking to the young kids. You could see the passion he has for the sport. I have admired him ever since. He did what many of us would love to do, make a living out of fishing.
Amen brothers, amen.
