CV BOOT REPAIR?

I just replaced my front outer and inner cv boot. My question is can I use just a reguler hose clamp and wrap electrical tape around it or do I have to use the clamps that come it. (I broke one of them). Thanks

Hose clamps tend to stick out too far and catch grass and weeds and cause them to wind up on the axle. In a pinch a hose clamp would do but they are also too wide for the area that they clamp. If you were a bit closer I'd give you one, I have a few extras.
