St. Croix River

Recommended Posts

New to the forums here.

Just wondering if anyone has had any success, this year or in years past, on the St Croix. Specifically the lower St. Croix between Stillwater & Prescott.

I've never fished it for Muskies before and am hoping to get out there this week.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, I just started fishing it 2 years ago and that body of water has my number. I get my butt kicked everytime I go out there for muskies. I was out there for the PMTT and most of the guys stayed on the north end. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I was out there yesterday chasing muskies for my first time on the river. We focused on the Afton and Kinni area. We only saw one fish that was just laying in the weeds not following our baits. The fish was in the mid to upper 40's. I don't know how many fish are in the river but I think there might be some tankers in there with the great forage base.
