Tator2k
I think my water pump is going out on my boat and I have a couple questions.Motor: 1996 Evinrude 90 V4How hard is this to do on your own? I have all the tools but I'm not a small engine mech.Or does anyone have a recommendation for a repair shop in the south metro?Symptoms: Yesterday out my my daughter everything appeared to be ok. Today once I got out into the lake I noticed it wasn't streaming very fast. I stopped the motor and cleaned the screens. Once I got it going again. The pressure still didn't seem to be high enough or it was reduced to a trickle.
boatfixer
sounds like the impeller is bad. Not sure of your mechanical abilities but maybe buying a manual will make you comfortable doing alot of your own work. Its not really too hard though. Tator2k
Thank you, 9 out of 10 people agree, that this could be done by yourself if you have the mechanical ability and sometime.I picked up a rebuild kit from Great American yesterday. The hardest part I see is removing the pin holding the shifter linkage together. It's pretty tight under there.
