kwkfsh
I was talking to Kevin from RiverPro and he said you were getting your new Hipro yesterday. Now that you have had it for a full day I am sure you have run the heck out of it. You have been strangely silent, I know you have to come of the river sometime. So come on give us the reveiw! Dennis Steele
I heard you got a lunch out of Kevin.I got supper! Thanks Kevin I got to take a look at my boat and stand in it but It hasn't come home just yet.It was very difficult not bringing it home but we have to switch the trailers and that will have to wait until sunday.I am as giddy as a little school girl! You want to go for a spin? ------------------Minnesota River Guided Fishing"fishhead"[email protected]www.mnriverguidedfishing.com
kwkfsh
Actually Kevin made a grab for the check but I was a bit faster. If he would have got it first I don't think he would have let me pay. It was a nice lunch, it is really a pleasure to talk with someone who is as knowledgeable about jetboats as Kevin is. One thing that stood out is Kevins commitment to building a first class product. Over the years I have dealt with many, many boat manufacturers and can tell pretty quickly when someone is trying to blow smoke up my a**. I personally would have no qualms whatsoever purchasing a boat from Mr. Turner. I am going to have to give the RiverPros for the first time ever on FM, the kwkfsh AAA rating. Dennis Steele
Hey EdI think you should give him a call. All the big time pros are driving them. I can honestly tell you the boats are amazing. One thing that is realy nice is that they have tons of storage space.Under the entire front deck is storage and along both sides.I think my nine foot rods will even fit in the side storage. All kinds of places to put all the gear a guide needs to carry. I would be greatfull if you linked my site and would deffinately do the same!I think you should come down sometime and get a demo of a RiverPro and my guiding services. ------------------Minnesota River Guided Fishing"fishhead"[email protected]www.mnriverguidedfishing.com

Dennis Steele
I absolutly love it! This is an awsome boat!I just can't believe what this boat can do.I thought the Low Pro with the 120 Merc Sport Jet was immpressive but this 1872 Hi Pro with the 175 just blows me away. She JUMPS right out of the water when you punch the throttle and is GONE!I was told that the boat would be on plane in less than 3 boat lenghts.I think I was lied to.It is much less than that.Putting the "brakes" on is interesting to say the least.Stops her dead in the water. The handling is fantastic.Agile with the right amount of gas and a turn of the wheel and you going in a whole new direction.I honestly think that there is nothing on a river that is going to keep me from going where I want to go in this boat.No bull! There is one problem with the boat though.I am affraid that I might not get much fishing done, becuase the thing is so much fun to drive. I am having a little trouble getting her rigged with all my gear.I keep finding myself behind the wheel! ------------------Minnesota River Guided Fishing"fishhead"[email protected]www.mnriverguidedfishing.com
kwkfsh
I am a big fan of gravity and internal combustion, jets on rivers are a great combination of that. Now I am going to have to take you up on that offer of a ride. Congrats on the new boat!
wastewaterguru
Well Dennis,I really was hoping to get some fishing in last night, but that darn thing is just too much fun to even want to fish out of. After having a couple drinks, and having Dennis perform the "toilet bowl" manuever about ten times in a row with four guys in the boat, and flying through the snags on the banks of the river.......I decided that this is one serious river rig. This boat has a beam as wide as my Lund and sidewalls at least as high, but drives like a hovercraft where turning the wheel turns the bow, but doesn't make the boat turn. You can do 180 degree turns but still have the boat traveling the same direction. You gotta turn the bow then add power to get the boat to actually change directions. Feels pretty wierd being in it after driving my deep V Lund. Reminds me of the shows on TV where you see the big sport jets taking people for rides through rapids and whipping the boat around. You just let me know Dennis when you want to get that thing out again........... Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------I fish.....Therefore I grovel.Here....Fisheeeeeeee!! Dennis Steele
The more I am in this boat the more I love it!After fishing out of the River Pro a few times now I can really apprecciate not only the power it has but its a very comfortable and roomy boat. She is stable in the water and getting to your tackle and bait is easy. There is tons of storage space .I always had a problem when considering a jon boat for river fishing because jons have minimal amounts of storage. The entire front deck on the River Pro is storage and there is storage all along both sides. In the back the storage shelves are large enough to hold my tackle boxes plus lots of other stuff. When fishing I have all my stuff up off the floor and it is still very easy to get to.Thats the way it should be!Now I can also say from direct experience that this boat is TOUGH!and that in my book equal safe!I hit a very large stump broadside at a good clip the other day and I put a dent in the side of the boat but I can honestly say that if I had hit that in some regular boat there would have been some major damage done including to myself!I am very impressed with the way the River Pro took that hit and only came out with minimal damage. She's built like a tank!------------------Minnesota River Guided Fishing"fishhead"[email protected]www.mnriverguidedfishing.com
