Family fishing Event THIS WEEKEND

The 2nd annual AYA family fishing event will be held on Saturday June 12th 2010 and is hosted by Angler & Young Anglers Fishing Tournaments Inc. Registration starts at 7AM. AYA is a not-for-profit organization created to introduce kids to the sport of competitive fishing.

This year’s event is located at White Bear Boat Works launch ramp by C.G Hooks Restaurant (behind Kowalski’s Market highway 61 White Bear Lake). Teams are made up of 1 adult and 2 youth anglers, 17y/o or under. The 3-person teams (limited to 50 teams) will be competing for the 1st prize of a LUND Boat Mercury Motor and Shore-Land’r Trailer plus a chance to win a trip to Walt Disney World.

Cost is $150.00 for the adult and the kid’s fish free! So bring your boat & lucky lures, to join us for a fun-filled day on the water!

AYA will also be assisting the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources with the statewide effort of “Take a Kid Fishing.” Please see the DNR’s web-site for more information. A barbecue will follow the AYA event, for all participants.
