LMS 520c Problem

Having a issue with the LMS 520c when a navionics card is put in. Just locks up and does nothing. Take it out and it is fine. Did the download but still no help. Card is probably 4 yrs old so is that the problem?? Works in a 522 just fine!

the card should work... you need to select your area you want to see under the map data menu. is it a platinum card?? if the card is over a 4 mb it wont work in the unit... but an old card is way smaller.... could be a bad card...

Card works in the 522 and 332. The unit just locks up as soon as you put the card in.

try a soft reset. hold the pages and press power keep holding pages till the map of the usa shows up.

Do you have the newest update in your LMS 520C?

I ask because I just installed it in a customers 520C today, and now it can run the new LakeMaster 2010 6.1 chips and appears now to be running better than ever for him. Previously his software was the 2.0. whatever..so..it's worth updating if you have not done so.

Be sure it is the most current update for the LMS 520C, and not any other 300 or 500 series update...or it will not update properly.
