lowrance mark 5 pro thoughts...

I was lookin for a decent starter finder, and the lowrance mark 5 pro seems like pretty good bang for my buck. Anyone out there got 1?

Haven't heard much about the mark5 yet as they're new this year, but I do like Lowrance products and their features. Very user friendly I think. If your looking for bang for your buck and your thinking about Lowrance (just a thought) look into Eagle products you can get a little more for your money. Built on the same platform as Lowrance just a little cheaper and the guys I know that run them don't have any complaints.

I still think the Mark5 for the price is still a pretty good buy.

If you can spend a little more money and go to a color screen you won't regret it. Makes defining things in the water and bottom clutter way easier.

Hey Thanks for the info! The mark 5 is just a Temp. I'm savin up for an hds and down imaging. The detail on that thing is just Incredible! Its scary to wonder whats gonna be comin out in the next few yrs
