I'm going to get to Nestor Falls before the rest of the group for our fishing trip further north. I'd like to fish for lake trout a couple days on crow lake. Can someone give me a couple spots to try for starters. I plan to go off the public access nearest Nestor Falls with a 14' lund and 15 HP motor.

Just out from the Gov. dock bay to the right / east. First island across from your departure location.

2 mile island. On the north side of the island, heading east,has some 60 foot depths of water. Trolling these waters near the shore in about 20 to 40 feet should get you some trout. Some of the points and secondary reefs will have deep weed beds. (hint)

500 yards north of 2 mile island is a string of small islands. These are also good trolling/ jigging waters for lakers.
