deerminator Posted May 15, 2010 Share Posted May 15, 2010 ...sans the mushroom soup and onion soup mix in the crockpot. We do that too but I like shaking it up making it old school in the oven. Tonight I took a 3 pound roast, coated it with fresh ground Jamaican peppercorn and fresh ground sea salt. Then I seared the heck out of it in some olive oil in the dutch oven on the stovetop. Next I drizzled it with balsamic vinegar and covered it in onions, carrots and potatoes (more pepper and salt) and let everything slow roast covered in the oven for a few hour. Man it was good.
