SaintPaulPaul
I'm new to HSO and trying to edit my signature to include a photo...the directions HSO gives are a little confusing, and I consider myself pretty computer savvy. There's got to be an easier way to import a saved photo from my hardrive to the signature area...any help would be appreciated.
Jim Almquist
You will need a host site like Photobucket in order to get your picture to show. Just upload your photo and make to to use a size that fits for a avatar. Then all you have to do is copy the direct link and paste it in. SaintPaulPaul
Okay, Jim- I've uploaded the picture I want to Photobucket...checked the pixel parameters and tried to copy the IMG address to paste to my profile settings during an edit. The HSO site keeps telling me that it's an incorrect photo. Two questions: 1) Do I need to reformat the URL address to meet their criteria as described in the FAQ's section; and 2)do I need to edit the photo to the pixel dimensions that they require (one area on the Hso's site says 600x125 pixels; the one in the "edit profile" says 110x150 pixels....the FAQ section says to click on "My Home" icon on any page, which I don't see anywhere..am I trying to edit the wrong thing? How do I get to the "Configure" area to edit my signature panel? I know it's alot of questioning, but this is driving me to drink; I can't believe it can be this complicated. Thanks. Jim Almquist
When you are putting up a avatar you will want to use the Direct Link selection. Then you just copy and paste it into the URL to a avatar. On my Photobucket page it is the first selection. It sounds like you got the size right 110 X 150. When you want to post a picture that is when you will select a IMG Code.
