APCfishing
I have a slight hesitation during initial take off. I think I may need to just clean out the carbs. Anyone have any HOnda carb experience? any different then any other carbs? This is what it sounds like RRRRR....RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
jjz
Depending on the HP. It is nothing to worry about. I have BF90 for 12 years and it has always been that way. Mainly if you slam it wot it will bog or die, however if you ramp up the throttle a little slower no problem. For the 90 and 75 it is part of how they generally operate. I have a 20 and had a 15 however, that it was not a issue with. Could just be bad or older gas. It is very important to keep fresh premium gas in any outboard, that will fix many starting, idle and warming problems to a minium.
RainyEye
I've had my Honda 90 for 11 years, it's a fine engine, but I also get the bogging at first throttle. The dealer says it's normal. What works for me is to get the tach up to around 2000rpm and then I can hit it with no problem.
