When can I seed after using crab grass preventer?

I have a few spots of crab grass. Last weekend I used Crab grass preventer (a late application type). I am wondering when can I seed after using it? I still see some of the little pellet balls on the ground there, so I know it hasn't all soaked in or disolved. Thanks in advance for your help.
