co pilot on trolling motor

when you have the trolling motor running, is there a little tick or click every 5-10 seconds?I installed this a couple days ago and last night i do not remember hearing it, but it was windy. Tonight it was definitely a tick every so often- just wondering if this is right?

thanks for the help on getting the merc running, carb kits, float settings, plugs and timing were the issues.

Yes, that is normal. I had the same issue and was able to turn it off. I don't remember how to exactly do it, but it is possible.

Figured it out. There are 3 different audible modes on the unit. Mode 1 is a click every 3 seconds when on. mode 2 is a beep just when a button is pushed, one beep when you turn motor on and 2 when you shut it off. Mode 3 is totally silent. To switch modes hold the + and - at the same time the number of beeps is the mode your going to.
