Ranger 618vs (console) versus 681vs

I am looking for people's feedback on the differences between these boats, specifically the hull design, their ability to troll - tracking, and how they handle bigger water.

I have heard that the Ranger 618vs console is a hybrid bass/multi-species boat and thus lacks the qualities of a true deep-v. The Ranger 681vs is considered a multi-species boat with a deep-v. However, from looking at pictures of the two boats I don't see much difference in the hull. Any pros and cons to either? I am considering my options for a new rig. I spend 60% of my time casting and the other 40% trolling. I fish the metro and occassionally venture onto Mille Lacs & Vermilion.
