CHM
I have a 1990 Johnson 60 tiller that back trolls too fast. Would a trolling plate be the answer or are they junk? I don't do a lot of back trolling, and if I do I like to use the electric unless the wind is blowing. Thanks!
walleyemaniac
Drift sock, more versatile, clip it on the bow and your set. You can use it to slow a side drift, hook it to the back to slow forward trolling, whatever you want. Then just pack it up and it's out of the way. Haven't ever priced trolling plates but I'm sure a drift sock and harness are cheaper.
