LwnmwnMan2
For those that don't know, most of the trimmer manufacturers have a product called a power broom. It's a trimmer, but instead of having trimmer line on the end, it's got a drum with either bristles or rubber paddles on it.This time of year, you can use this tool to go along the boulevard or edge of your lawn where the snowplows have piled up the gravel / rock onto your grass. As raking or trying to wash this stuff out of the grass has minimal effect, using one of these tools will allow you to clean off 100' of your boulevard in about 15-20 minutes, probably about including the time to drive to the rental store to get one.Call around, see if you can find one to rent. If someone DOES find one to rent, please post it here, or email me so if others have issues, they know where to go to.You can buy a trimmer with a split shaft, then buy the end with the drum, and the trimmer line (as well as many other attatchments) and then have your own setup, but it'll run you about $400-500. IcePro
I like using a Billy Goat power vac with a hose attachment from the rental store, the hose attachment works great on the gravel along the boulevard. The vacuum does not disturb the grass but picks up the gravel and debris.I than also vacuum the whole yard, fence line, etc., this is a quick spring clean up for the whole yard. LwnmwnMan2
Correct, those work too if you can find them.My biggest complaint when I used them is that bag can get quite heavy.I had to dump the bags into dumpsters on the property, which can be a bit of a pain.
