lovebigbluegills
Is anybody on here going to fish the derby this year?I talked with the gal at the resort Sunday morning on the way out fishing, and they had yet to decide if it will be in a confined area, or all over the lake again. Sounds like a few other things were yet to decide also.I think they were leaning towards having it in a confined area around Springsteel again, as they'd begun plowing an area out to the east. If anybody hears any updates, please put them on here.It would be fun to meet a few fellow HSO'ers out on the lake.

lovebigbluegills
I forgot to add that on my post. As of now, the forecast looks fairly nice.30% chance of flurries, wind is 4mph from the west, and the high is 23 degrees. That's what the forecast is now, and we all know how much that can change in a few days. dragon81
WE will be there for sure but fishing out of our own house. Which it doesnt look like we will be eligible for the fish prizes, only the raffles. Since our house wont be in the roped off area. Always a fun time. lovebigbluegills
I just called up to the resort and asked if it will be open to the whole bay, or roped off. She told me that the decision won't be made until Friday.
dragon81
Yeah I was just going by what springsteel told me yesterday, said they were on the ice then; working on the area to be roped off. But if ice conditions are better maybe it will change.
