I want to know if there is a campgrounds near mobridge to fish upper oahe lake any info would be very helpful thanks

Better than a campsite is a sportsman's lodge called Prairie Pillow just outside Selby. Bunk type rooms, dining area, showers, game room -- three meals (bag lunch) and lodging for $40 a day. Launch sites are close to the south and north, with Mobridge only 25 miles away.

I know that there is some type of state campground just to the east of Mobridge (5 miles or so)and south of Hwy 12. I am sure that a good SD map would have info...or try a web search.

Also I remember seeing some type of recreation area on one side of the Hwy 12 bridge. Don't know if overnight camping is allowed though. Does Mobridge have a Chamber of Commerce or something similar that you could call??

Just across the HWY 12 bridge outside Mobridge on the south side is Jed's Landing. He has cottages, a store, and used to permit camping. There are public launch ramps on both sides of 12 at that area, plus a monument to Sakakawea. Interesting place.

There's terrific smallmouth fishing near the railroad bridge and old right of way and under the two highway bridges.
