Matt Breuer
Someone said a pumpkinseed, and yes, they're a true fighter, however, there's nothing like a 10" green sunfish on light line! If you bundled white crappies, black crappies, hybrid sunfish, bluegills, pumpkinseeds, and greens all in one area, all at 9" in size, you'd find the black crappies giving you the least fun in my opinion. They probably taste the best out of the bunch however...
pushbutton
somedays i love the fight of the gills and others the challenge of the crappies. either way, would much rather catch trophy panfish than trophy walleye. fight wise, also have to give it up to the greens. panfishpounder00
gills for sure! my saying is, if they ever made a 10 lb gill, no one would ever get it in! their pan shaped bodies put a ton of resistance in the water. lb for lb the bluegill has my vote! FutbolGuru
Gills are stronger than Crappies, but Crappies are harder to ice.
