duckhuntr21
What do you folks think about the ultraviolet paint that they are selling for decoys? I have been trying to read a bunch of info on this now that I have some free time and I am wondering if there isn't something to it. It seems that most researchers agree that waterfowl can see the three primary colors that we see as well as uv light. I see that Flambeau is now making decoys with this special paint on them. Anyone tried the paint or the decoys? It could be all B.S. too.
lawdog
I asked for some white for christmas but didn't get it... I'm going to try it. It can't hurt, it looks white regularly anyway so if they don't see UV what are you out (other than a few extra bucks for fancy paint). duckhuntr21
I know this doesn't really have anything to do with this forum, but did that UV wash that they used to sell for deer hunting have anything to it? I guess i don't know if it is still around or what. I haven't saw it in stores for a while. I wonder if this is the same marketing gimmick as that. Sometimes I think that there might be some merit to the paint on account of the days that it seems like you have a perfect setup(good spread, good wind, and good weather) and the birds don't want anything to do with you both with ducks and geese. lifterpuller
UV painted decoys and fake corn cobs are a must for me
