01 Silvarado cruise control wont stay on

usually works for a few seconds, then goes off, temperature control is verry slow to respond. Could these issuus be related, I think both work off the vaccume system.

Probably not related, cruise is not vacuum on your truck. Sometimes the problem is either the wiring inside the column going to the signal switch. People who use their tilt a lot see this most often.

Could also be the brake light switch may simply be out of adjustment, or the cruise unit itself could be going.
