I'm a novice boat owner. Just bought a Lund Rebel and will fish mostly small lakes with maximum 25 foot depth - occasionally in rivers. I suppose each person may have a favorite but I would appreciate your advice on what locator to buy. Thanks.

lowrance has always treated me very well any model in your price range would work the x49 is good unit for $200. (eagle is basiclly the same unit for less money) another unit that I like is the zercom liquid paper graph. check out your local bait shop or pro shop these people really know versis the big chain stores where they just want to push products out of the store.
