Guest
The early goose season opens Sunday. Scouting will pay off. Bring along your friends because shooting can be extremly easy. We need to harvest as many of the birds as possible. They are dowing hundreds and thousands of dollars of damage to crops throughout the year.Right now they are feeding heavily on downed grain. Since the small grain harvest is being slowed by the recent deluges, Canadas are reaking havock on swaths of barley and spring wheat. This is costing farmers a lot of money.I plan to hunt near Minnewaukan. Don't hunt the geese over water. Hunt them in a field with full bodied decoys like big foots. It only takes a dozen. This will give on oppurtunity to pinpoint them. If yopu shoot them over their home, they will scatter and become to wary and difficult to kill. We want to kill as many as possible in the next couple of weeks. No sky blasting either. That gets them decoy shy in a hurry. Sky blasting gets them into the behavior of swinging wide, away from the decoys.------------------Kevin Neve's Devils Lake Guide Servicefishingminnesota.com/kevin-neve-guiding/e-mail: [email protected]Phone: 701-473-5411 or 701-351-4989Minnewaukan ND
