ladylikestofish
My sisters husband is supposed to go fishing on Devils Lake this weekend, but has heard rumors that it is going green. Can you give me the scoop on it?
Guest
Hello lady likes to fish. Devils Lake is quite high in nutrients and supports a fair amount of algae and weed growth ths time of year. Here on the West End near Minnewaukan it is still quite fresh but certainly not clear. I've been swimming a few times recently both for fun and when working on my docks snd hsve enjoyed it. Perhaps your reports have come from some who have driven by the Devils Lake treatment lagoon which are just on the edge of town and put up quite a stink in the warm muggy times.------------------SpiritWaterSteveThe Spirit Water InnBox 68Minnewaukan, ND 58351Reservations Toll Free: (877) 305-1528
Guest
Devils Lake is always green to some degree. Stephan reply hit it on the head. Since Devils Lake is 5 nearly seperate bodies of water, conditions vary from Black Tiger Bay on the East Bay to the Minnewaukan Flats on the West Bay, nearly 40 miles away. We have the best water quality on our end, West Bay and have no problems. There are NO problems anywhere on the lake that would stop one from catching fishing.------------------Kevin Neve's Devils Lake Guide Servicefishingminnesota.com/kevin-neve-guiding/e-mail: [email protected]Phone: 701-473-5411 or 701-351-4989Minnewaukan ND
